Rams Head to Kentucky to Open CBI
Kentucky might not have beaches or tropical weather but the CSU Rams couldn’t think of a better place to spend their spring break.
The Rams (16-15) are in the blue grass state and ready to face the Morehead State Eagles (23-9) in the opening round of the College Invitational Tournament Wednesday night. The game will mark CSU’s first post season appearance since 2003.
Even though the CIT is a step below the NCAA Tournament or the National Invitational Tournament, Rams forward Andy Ogide said the team was more than happy to taste the post season.
Rams headed to CBI
In might not be the big dance or even the National Invitational Tournament, but for the first time in the Tim Miles era the CSU Rams are headed to the post season.
The Rams (16-15) received a summons to play in the College Basketball Invitational Tournament Sunday night three days after falling 71-72 to San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference tournament.
CSU is set to head to Kentucky to face the Moore Head State Eagles (23-9) March 17 to open the tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm MST and can be seen on HDNet.

Tyler Shreve Says He Still Holds Scholarship Offer from Utah

According to a statement made to ESPN.com's Graham Watson, Utah quarterback recruit Tyler Shreve still has a scholarship offer to play with the Utes in 2010.
This news follows Shreve's incident with his former baseball coach at East Valley High School in Redlands, Calif., when Wildcats skipper James Cordes informed him that he was being dismissed from the team due to not attending classes and showing a lack of respect for the coaching staff.
Annese and Bocar Ba lead Rams over Utes 76-67 on Senior Day
They played only 19 combined minutes, but seniors Mike Annese and Mame Bocar Ba played the best games of their careers on senior day in Moby Arena.
It was a day when the Rams' stars were not on and the two players were key cogs in CSU's 76-67 victory over Utah (14-16, 7-9) Saturday.
Annese scored seven points in six minutes and played lock-down defense.
Bocar Ba scored a career-high nine points, grabbed two boards and one steal.
And more importantly, they provided energy.
Rams Lose Fifth Straight
Desperately needing a win and with their back against the wall the CSU Rams couldn’t respond.
